Head of Consumer Compliance

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously enhance Kikoff's consumer compliance management system (CMS), including policies, procedures, monitoring, testing, and training.
• Serve as the primary compliance point of contact for Kikoff's bank partners, managing ongoing reporting, program reviews, and audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with federal consumer financial laws including TILA, ECOA, FCRA, EFTA, UDAP/UDAAP, SCRA, and MLA.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to review new products, features, and marketing materials for compliance risk prior to launch.
• Lead the complaints management program, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
• Oversee consumer-facing disclosures, terms of service, and adverse action notices.
• Design and execute compliance monitoring and testing programs to identify and remediate gaps.
• Manage and respond to regulatory inquiries, examinations, and audits from bank partners, the CFPB, and state regulators.
• Build and develop a team of consumer compliance professionals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of consumer compliance experience in financial services.
• 3+ years of leadership experience at a bank, FinTech, or financial services company.
• Deep knowledge of federal consumer financial laws (TILA, ECOA, FCRA, EFTA, UDAP/UDAAP).
• Proven experience managing bank partner compliance relationships and audit responses.
• Strong understanding of CMS frameworks and best practices.
• Experience working within or alongside bank partnership (BaaS) models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CRCM or equivalent certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a financial regulator.
• Experience with consumer lending, credit building, earned wage access, or prepaid products.
• Familiarity with AI-driven decisioning models and associated fair lending considerations.
• Experience supporting state licensing or multi-state regulatory frameworks.
