Head of Compute Capital Markets

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic investment decisions and financing architecture for OpenAI's hyperscale AI compute infrastructure.
• Translate compute demand, GPU procurement, and data center development into investable frameworks for lenders and strategic partners.
• Build durable, repeatable financing structures across debt, structured capital, and alternative financing vehicles.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, and Engineering to optimize capital structure and reduce the cost of capital.
• Develop rigorous financial and investment models for highly structured infrastructure projects.
• Engage with banks, institutional investors, and infrastructure funds to support financing execution and negotiations.
• Serve as a cross-functional bridge between technical infrastructure requirements and actionable financial strategy.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure investing, private/growth equity, private credit, investment banking, or restructuring.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep expertise in project finance and large-scale capital project/infrastructure financial analysis.
• Exceptionally strong analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of infrastructure investing.
• MBA or CFA designation.
• Experience with AI-native workflows and using advanced tools to improve forecasting and treasury operations.
