Head of Compliance

About the Company

Qualitate is building the AI-native primary intelligence platform for enterprises, investment firms, and asset managers. We automate the entire primary research workflow, from study design and expert recruitment through AI-moderated interviews and insight synthesis.

Responsibilities

• Manage Qualitate’s compliance requirements end-to-end, including security certifications (SOC 2) and data privacy practices.
• Scale protocols for expert vetting, screening, engagement, and compensation.
• Assist with corporate governance and maintain legal records, policies, and contractual obligations.
• Work directly with customers to ensure delivery against compliance expectations.
• Provide compliance advice to sales teams and deliver training to client-interfacing employees.
• Implement compliance protocols across internal systems and collaborate with product/tech teams to design controls into the product.
• Own the contract process, maintain templates, and coordinate with the legal team.

Requirements

• 4–8 years in compliance or legal operations.
• Experience in an investment bank, investment firm, or technology startup.
• Deep knowledge of financial industry compliance risk and due diligence.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated operator mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience implementing compliance programs at a tech startup serving financial services.
• Experience at an expert network or primary research provider (MNPI protocols).
• Experience with government regulatory bodies such as the SEC.
• Experience leading client-facing due diligence questionnaires.
• Law degree.
• Experience working with hedge funds, PE firms, or credit investors.
• Experience designing compliance controls directly into software products.
