Head of Compliance

Responsibilities

• Manage the efficient governance of Compliance risk and maintain a robust compliance culture across all regulated entities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulators, leading regulatory supervision, inspections, and engagement.
• Own and maintain the regulatory governance framework, including obligations mapping, accountability mapping, and regulatory attestations.
• Lead the full regulatory change lifecycle, from horizon scanning and impact assessment to embedding changes into policies and controls.
• Provide authoritative regulatory advice on new products, business initiatives, market entry, and customer communications.
• Oversee the Compliance team, driving strategic adoption of policies and ensuring the function maintains high technical standards.
• Deliver high-quality Compliance Management Information (MI) to the Board, Executive Risk Committees, and SC Ventures.

Requirements

• Over 13 years of hands-on experience in conduct, regulatory compliance, business advisory, and regulatory risk management.
• Strong understanding of the financial services sector and regulatory frameworks within a digital environment.
• Proven expertise in regulatory risk management and managing complex supervisory relationships.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile fintech environment with a collaborative working style.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving as a Data Protection Officer (DPO).
