Head of Competitive Intelligence

Responsibilities

• Build and own the company's competitive intelligence strategy and operating model
• Develop comprehensive competitive assessments, including feature matrices, pricing analyses, and market landscape reviews
• Create executive-ready insights to influence product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and investment decisions
• Build objection handling and competitive messaging for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success
• Monitor competitor product launches, acquisitions, and GTM motions
• Establish repeatable processes and tooling for collecting and distributing intelligence
• Partner with Product Management to identify areas of strategic differentiation
• Support executive leadership with board-ready market briefings and dashboards

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, strategy consulting, or product strategy
• Proven experience building a competitive intelligence function from the ground up
• Exceptional analytical and structured thinking skills
• Strong understanding of enterprise software, AI platforms, SaaS, or cloud technologies
• Experience producing executive-facing strategic analyses
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights
• Experience partnering across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in AI, machine learning, foundation models, or developer platforms
• Familiarity with win/loss programs and competitive positioning frameworks
• Experience supporting enterprise sales with battlecards and enablement
• Background in management consulting or strategic planning
