Head of Business Development & Solutions Design

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement a structured approach to lead generation, pipeline management, and performance tracking
• Own the customer onboarding process from introduction, solution design, pricing agreement, contract negotiation, and implementation
• Identify customers with significant development opportunities to increase EBIT and long-term retention
• Manage a select group of critical strategic accounts
• Design complex logistical and IT solutions as part of the value proposition
• Collaborate with Group commercial teams to identify and progress group opportunities
• Develop marketing strategies and visual content for the Chilled & Fresh Division in collaboration with central marketing
• Act as a brand ambassador for the division with internal/external stakeholders and industry bodies

Requirements

• Proven track record in driving revenue growth within logistics, warehousing, or supply chain environments
• Strong understanding of the UK logistics and supply chain sector
• Experience writing high-quality, creative, and compelling proposals and tender documents
• Direct experience managing high-value strategic accounts and contract negotiation
• Extensive experience in negotiating contracts within the 3PL sector
• Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
