Head of Business Continuity Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic design and greenfield establishment of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) program in Germany.
• Achieve and maintain ISO 22301 certification to ensure compliance with international BCM standards.
• Conduct rigorous Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and develop comprehensive continuity plans for critical business units.
• Serve as the National BCM Risk Owner, integrating threat and vulnerability assessments into the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
• Design and execute scenario-based training and high-fidelity simulation exercises to drive organizational readiness.
• Manage external vendors and oversee the BCM-related operating budget.
• Provide expert tactical support during real-world incidents and conduct post-incident evaluations for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Business Continuity Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Proven track record of implementing and managing country-level BCM programs.
• Direct experience conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and developing localized continuity plans.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Strong project management and analytical skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with local management, technical teams, and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISO 22301 Lead Implementer certification.
• ISO 27001 certification or equivalent.
