Head of Bulk Transport Logistics

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the control, organization, and further development of bulk transport logistics
• Disciplinary and functional leadership of bulk dispatchers and the driver team, including personnel planning and development
• Ensuring compliance with legal regulations (especially driving and rest times & occupational safety)
• Management and development of the own fleet and external forwarding partners, including performance evaluation and contract design
• Analysis and control of relevant KPIs (costs, quality, utilization, delivery performance)
• Implementation of process optimizations along the entire logistics chain
• Contribution to digitalization and technical development (e.g., dispatching and tour planning systems)
• Close cooperation with feed sales, agricultural sales, and purchasing departments

Requirements

• Completed commercial training, ideally in freight forwarding, logistics services, or wholesale/foreign trade
• Several years of professional experience in logistics, preferably in bulk transport
• Sound knowledge of freight and contract management and dealing with forwarding companies
• Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS)
• Leadership experience with a motivating and binding leadership style
• Strong analytical and technical understanding
• High level of communication skills, negotiation skills, and assertiveness
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
