About the role

Responsibilities

  • Personally manage Tier 1 builder relationships with major national and regional homebuilders to drive spec penetration.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a team of 3 to 5 Builder Sales Managers.
  • Secure corporate partnerships with national and regional outdoor-living, pergola, and deck-building brands.
  • Take ownership of team KPIs, including call volume, conversion rates, pipeline value, and monthly sales.
  • Optimize CRM processes, sales enablement materials, and forecasting discipline.
  • Develop Tier 1 builder programs involving volume commitments, co-marketing, and training.
  • Provide market and competitive intelligence to product, marketing, and commercial teams to shape the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in field sales or business development.
  • 2+ years of experience directly leading sales teams.
  • Background in the builder channel or construction-adjacent industries (e.g., HVAC, building products, or general contracting).
  • Proven experience managing Tier 1 or enterprise accounts and complex negotiations.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Experience in technical solution selling.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Ability to travel significantly across the United States and Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record of co-developing go-to-market strategies and spec sheets with channel partners.
  • Experience establishing repeatable, scalable business development operations and playbooks.
  • Background in premium building products or integrated heating and control systems.

Benefits

  • Base salary ranging from $150,000 to $165,000 per year.
