Head of Art, DT and Creative Learning

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion Art, Design & Technology (ADT) and Creative Learning across the school
• Shape and deliver an ambitious, high-quality ADT curriculum from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5
• Manage and inspire a dedicated team of teachers and technical staff
• Oversee subjects including resistant materials, textiles, and food and nutrition
• Embed the school’s vision for creative learning as an essential future skill
• Oversee enrichment opportunities such as competitions and scholarships
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular and cross-curricular initiatives

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching GCSE and A-level ADT
• Demonstrated leadership ability with the capacity to motivate others
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A calm and confident leadership presence
• A genuine passion for creativity in learning and high educational standards
