Head of APAC Accounting

Responsibilities

• Own the APAC Corporate Accounting function end to end, ensuring accuracy and control of regional financial reporting
• Manage statutory financial statements, local audits, board reporting, and corporate secretarial filings for all APAC legal entities
• Lead the APAC month-end close and consolidation process, including intercompany and reconciliations
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing regional accounting and finance operations team
• Manage regional outsourced provider relationships for accounting, payroll, and Procure to Pay
• Partner with global Finance Systems on regional deployment and continuous improvement of the finance platform stack
• Design and operate the regional internal control framework for future SOX and public-company readiness
• Drive automation and the adoption of Claude and AI tooling across APAC accounting processes
• Act as the senior APAC Controllership partner to regional General Managers and functional leaders

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience
• 5+ years as a regional or group controller in a US-headquartered or global multinational
• Qualified accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• Proven track record of building and leading multi-country accounting teams
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• Experience with enterprise ERP and finance systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, SAP, Oracle)
• Experience managing statutory accounting and external audits at a regional level

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building a regional accounting or shared services function at a high-growth technology company
• Experience with IPO readiness, SOX implementation, or internal controls transformation
• Experience with international payroll and equity compensation in APAC
• Established Big 4 or advisory network in the region
