Head of Alternative Investments

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead Range’s alternative investments strategy, defining asset classes like private equity, private credit, real estate, and hedge funds
• Own sourcing, due diligence, and manager/fund selection by building relationships with top-tier general partners
• Lead capital deployment at scale, overseeing the allocation of billions of dollars of AUM
• Drive automation and operational efficiency by partnering with Engineering and Product to build scalable workflows
• Set strategy and KPIs for the alternatives function using data to measure performance
• Ensure regulatory and compliance alignment regarding due diligence, disclosures, and suitability
• Lead and develop a high-impact team of investment professionals
• Partner cross-functionally to launch new alternative investment offerings with operational readiness

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in alternative investments, private markets, or institutional asset allocation
• Senior leadership experience in a high-growth or technology-driven environment
• Deep familiarity with private equity, private credit, real estate, and hedge funds
• Proven track record of building and scaling alternatives platforms or programs
• Strong network of relationships with general partners and fund managers
• Expertise in regulatory and operational considerations specific to alternative investments
• Data-driven mindset with experience defining KPIs and performance metrics
