Head of AI Agent Systems

Responsibilities

• Own the design, architecture, and evolution of Wonderschool’s multi-agent AI system to drive revenue and automate core business workflows
• Design and deploy agent-driven workflows that improve customer acquisition, onboarding speed, and provider revenue
• Improve agent output quality and reliability by identifying and fixing system-level issues like coordination failures and context limitations
• Build reliable execution systems including validation layers, retry logic, and end-to-end automated workflows
• Implement measurement and feedback loops to track agent success rates, failure modes, and business impact
• Lead and scale a small team of 2-3 engineers, balancing hands-on coding with technical leadership
• Drive company-wide adoption of agent systems across engineering, product, design, and operations teams

Requirements

• Strong engineering background with experience building and shipping production-grade systems
• Proven experience working with AI systems, LLMs, or automation in a real-world environment
• Experience debugging complex systems and improving their reliability
• Ability to work directly in the codebase and manage system architecture
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or working specifically with multi-agent systems
• Experience building internal tools, developer systems, or workflow automation platforms
• Experience working within regulated systems or compliance-heavy environments
• Background as a founder or an early engineer at a high-growth startup
