Head of Accounting

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full spectrum of accounting monitoring for a subsidiary in the RES sector
• Perform checks and entry of documents as needed
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and specific customer-supplier subsystems
• Monitor and control the company's fixed assets
• Manage month-end closing for the issuance of periodic tax returns
• Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax returns (VAT, etc.)
• Participate in the preparation of Financial Statements for individual companies
• Draft and update forecasts and cash budgets
• Support Transfer Pricing
• Actively participate in the implementation of new systems and applications
• Communicate with public authorities, banks, and external financial/legal advisors
• Coordinate with Statutory Auditors to resolve issues
• Ensure implementation of internal accounting procedures and adherence to deadlines

Requirements

• Degree in Economics or Accounting
• Post-graduate studies or relevant professional titles preferred
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with 5 years in the Energy sector
• Mandatory knowledge of SAP ERP
• Good knowledge of Greek GAAP and IFRS
• Good knowledge of Tax Legislation
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, specifically MS Excel
