Head Men's & Women's Tennis Coach

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the intercollegiate men's and women's tennis programs
• Conduct practices, competitions, and off-court development for student-athletes
• Implement strategic recruiting plans to evaluate and recruit qualified student-athletes
• Manage team operations, including practice planning, match scheduling, and travel logistics
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches
• Monitor the academic progress, retention, and eligibility of all student-athletes
• Ensure full compliance with NCAA, MIAA, and institutional rules and policies
• Plan and execute program fundraising efforts and community outreach
• Foster a culture of sportsmanship, personal accountability, and holistic development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 2 years of collegiate coaching experience or demonstrated success as a high school head coach
• Knowledge of NCAA and MIAA rules and regulations
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel overnight for competitions
• Strong organizational, communication, and budget management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Prior coaching experience at an NCAA Division III institution
• Experience working with underrepresented, first-generation, and diverse student populations
