Head Men's Lacrosse Coaching Instructor

Responsibilities

• Direct, instruct, and administer the Men's Lacrosse program in compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and institutional regulations
• Lead all elements of practices and games, including drill execution, one-on-one athlete development, and game day management
• Develop and communicate a cohesive program philosophy to all stakeholders
• Supervise assistant coaches and athletic instructors within the program
• Coordinate team tryouts, player selection, and recruitment of prospective student-athletes
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress to ensure compliance with university and NCAA standards
• Manage administrative duties including travel arrangements, equipment purchases, and budget accountability
• Collaborate with strength and conditioning staff to implement targeted training programs
• Engage in community outreach, fundraising, and promotional activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Previous collegiate coaching experience or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Current certifications in CPR and AED
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to effectively communicate with diverse constituencies
• Understanding of and commitment to complying with NCAA and university regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to motivate students and provide positive leadership
• Proven experience teaching fundamentals and techniques in a competitive environment
• Successful prior participation in lacrosse at the high school, college, or professional level
