Head Men's Basketball Coach

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer all phases of a successful Men's Basketball program
• Oversee the instruction, development, and evaluation of student-athletes
• Direct and manage assistant coaches and student managers
• Lead the recruitment of quality prospective student-athletes
• Manage and monitor the assigned program budget
• Collaborate with Sports Medicine staff to ensure student-athlete health and safety
• Support fundraising activities and events through the Generals Athletic Association (GAA)
• Maintain compliance with LSUA, Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC), and NAIA rules and regulations
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Collegiate coaching experience (may include Graduate level experience)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• High ethical standards and ability to work within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations
• Previous coaching experience at the NAIA level
• Collegiate or professional level playing experience
• Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) or willingness to obtain one
