Head Golf Coach

Responsibilities

• Recruit and retain academically qualified student-athletes who align with the mission and values of Great Lakes Christian College
• Plan and oversee all aspects of the golf program, including practices, competitions, travel, and player development
• Schedule contests and tournaments that meet NCCAA competition requirements
• Develop and maintain a positive team culture emphasizing Christian character, sportsmanship, and academic success
• Coordinate recruiting efforts with the Admissions Office and Athletic Department
• Monitor academic progress and support student-athlete retention
• Manage program budgets and approved expenditures responsibly
• Organize fundraising and community engagement activities
• Ensure compliance with all NCCAA, institutional, and departmental policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Coaching and/or competitive golf experience
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of Great Lakes Christian College
• Ability to recruit and mentor student-athletes effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Collegiate coaching experience
• Experience recruiting student-athletes
• Knowledge of NCAA, NAIA, or NCCAA rules and regulations
• Experience in fundraising and program development
