Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging English lessons aligned with curriculum goals and differentiated for diverse learning needs
• Develop individualized goals for each student, monitor progress, and adjust instruction to foster success
• Collaborate with faculty and administrators to differentiate curricula for all students
• Build positive relationships with families through regular communication, conferences, and ongoing student updates
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment where students feel valued and empowered to learn

Requirements

• New York State teaching certification in English Education Grades 7-12 required
• Master’s degree in English education or a related field
• Experience in developing and managing individualized learning goals
• Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff
• Collaborative mindset for working within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• Special education experience
