Head, Department of Global Health

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and strategic direction of the newly created Department of Global Health
• Shape the department's academic identity, governance, and culture
• Advance internationally recognised research programs addressing complex global health challenges
• Drive innovative teaching programs and integrate research with graduate supervision
• Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with governments, multilateral agencies, and philanthropic organisations
• Contribute to School and Faculty-wide leadership and decision-making as a member of the School Executive

Requirements

• Professor or Associate Professor rank
• Internationally recognised record of achievement in global health or a closely related discipline
• Substantial academic leadership experience within complex research or policy environments
• Proven research excellence and a successful track record in securing competitive funding
• Demonstrated ability to build impactful international partnerships across diverse sectors
• A contemporary vision for global health that integrates research, education, and equity
