About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and aid in the training and growth of the entire kitchen team
- Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing key financial metrics including COGS, labor, and operating expenses
- Ensure high standards of food preparation and quality
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards within the kitchen
Requirements
- Experience in a kitchen or cooking role within a busy hospitality environment
- Proven experience leading and developing a team
- Ability to understand, interpret, and explain key kitchen financial KPIs (cost of goods, labor, and wastage)
- Certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent professional experience
- Sound understanding of food safety protocols
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
