About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and aid in the training and growth of the entire kitchen team
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing key financial metrics including COGS, labor, and operating expenses
  • Ensure high standards of food preparation and quality
  • Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards within the kitchen

Requirements

  • Experience in a kitchen or cooking role within a busy hospitality environment
  • Proven experience leading and developing a team
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and explain key kitchen financial KPIs (cost of goods, labor, and wastage)
  • Certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent professional experience
  • Sound understanding of food safety protocols
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
