About the role
Responsibilities
- Produce meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Prepare hot menu accompaniments
- Ensure all preparation meets quality standards and is properly documented
- Record food temperatures in the logbook
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas
- Manage food storage and rotation
- Perform monthly inventory and place food orders
- Ensure all tasks are performed safely and report incidents immediately
Requirements
- Diploma in hospitality, food service, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of cooking experience
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Strong leadership and professional attitude
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in workforce accommodation camps or remote settings
- Experience in natural resources or construction sectors
- MAPAQ certification (food handler or manager)
