About the role
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Prepare hot menu accompaniments and ensure all items meet quality standards
- Document food temperatures in the required logbooks
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and service areas
- Manage food storage, rotation, and monthly inventory
- Place food orders to ensure adequate supplies
- Ensure all tasks are performed safely and report any incidents immediately
Requirements
- Diploma in hospitality, food service, or equivalent technical training/experience
- Minimum of 3 years of professional cooking experience
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time and priorities effectively
- Strong leadership skills and a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to work in a remote, fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) environment
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to work in a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in workforce accommodation camps or remote settings
- Previous experience in the natural resources or construction sectors
- MAPAQ certification (food handler or manager)
