Head Cook

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast and lunch for the Summer Food Services Program (SFSP) following provided recipes and menus
• Maintain strict adherence to USDA requirements and sanitary food practices in accordance with state and local regulations
• Assist in ordering food and dairy beverages from approved vendors and manage product deliveries
• Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including refrigerators, freezers, stoves, and ovens
• Transport meals to various sites prior to meal service as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency credential
• One year of experience in commercial kitchens or equivalent food service experience
• ServSafe certification
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds independently, and up to 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to push and pull food carts up to 100 pounds
• Successful completion of a criminal record check
