About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast and lunch for the Summer Food Services Program (SFSP) following provided recipes and menus
- Maintain strict adherence to USDA requirements and sanitary food practices in accordance with state and local regulations
- Assist in ordering food and dairy beverages from approved vendors and manage product deliveries
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including refrigerators, freezers, stoves, and ovens
- Transport meals to various sites prior to meal service as needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency credential
- One year of experience in commercial kitchens or equivalent food service experience
- ServSafe certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds independently, and up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to push and pull food carts up to 100 pounds
- Successful completion of a criminal record check
