Head Coach - Men's Club Ice Hockey

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and launch of the Men’s Club Ice Hockey program, establishing structure, policies, and a long-term competitive vision.
• Plan and direct all practices, training sessions, and game preparations.
• Recruit, evaluate, and retain student-athletes to build the inaugural roster.
• Oversee all program operations, including budget management, scheduling, travel, equipment, and facility coordination.
• Support student-athlete academic success and personal development.
• Maintain compliance with University and league/association requirements.
• Establish a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
• Participate in institutional events such as commencement and special athletic ceremonies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Prior coaching experience, ideally in collegiate, club, or junior hockey environments.
• Proven recruiting experience.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Commitment to academic excellence and holistic student-athlete development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Experience building or growing a new athletic program.
• Knowledge of league, institutional, and risk management policies within a club sport structure.
• Experience managing budgets and complex program operations.
