Head Coach - Men's and Women's Fencing

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all facets of the men’s and women’s Division I fencing programs.
• Recruit, train, and oversee student-athletes to ensure a successful competitive team.
• Monitor and support the academic success and health and safety of student-athletes.
• Promote a standard of excellence in compliance, community service, diversity, and inclusion.
• Build and maintain public awareness of the fencing program.
• Ensure strict adherence to NCAA and conference rules and legislation.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or state-recognized equivalent.
• One year of experience coaching fencing at the high school, collegiate, or equivalent level.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to establish driver eligibility under university policy.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sports management or a related field.
• Three years of head coaching experience in collegiate fencing.
• Professional experience in an urban higher education environment.
• Familiarity with the Northeast Ohio region.
