Head Coach, eSports

Responsibilities

• Coach and teach eSports games to student athletes
• Schedule and lead organized practices and games
• Recruit student athletes from local and surrounding counties and the state of Ohio
• Manage program logistics including travel, equipment, and supply budgets
• Hire and supervise assistant coaches
• Maintain compliance with governing bylaws (OCCAC, NJCAAE, etc.)
• Conduct fundraising, community service, and specialized camps or clinics
• Provide guidance to student athletes regarding educational and competitive advancement
• Transport teams to away games using college vehicles

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2-3 years of coaching experience at the High School or Intercollegiate level
• Deep knowledge of eSports games
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to pass the College Online Driving Skills course
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
• Proven experience in recruiting and athletic program management
