Head Coach

Responsibilities

• Instruct and demonstrate sport-specific skills and techniques for individual and team achievement
• Develop practice plans, training programs, and game strategies
• Recruit student athletes within the school and ensure eligibility, insurance, and medical forms are current
• Supervise athletes at practices, games, and during travel; enforce discipline and sportsmanship policies
• Hire and oversee assistant coaches with Athletic Director approval
• Maintain equipment, uniforms, and facilities in safe condition
• Professionally represent the school in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students

Requirements

• High school coaching or playing experience preferred
• American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• National Federation of High Schools Heat Illness certification
• National Federation of High Schools Concussion certification
• National Federation of High Schools Sportsmanship certification
• National Federation of High Schools Fundamentals of Coaching certification
• National Federation of High Schools Sport Specific Course certification
• Must pass a background check
