Head Coach

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the assigned academy team's training, match preparation, and performance
• Implement CT United Academy's playing philosophy, training methodology, and developmental objectives
• Develop and execute structured, age-appropriate training sessions aligned with MLS NEXT standards
• Work closely with the Academy Director and technical staff to evaluate and develop players
• Foster a high-performance culture of discipline, respect, and professionalism
• Utilize video analysis and data to enhance player performance
• Communicate regularly with players, parents, and staff regarding progress and development plans
• Identify and recruit top talent in alignment with club scouting strategies
• Represent the academy professionally in all MLS NEXT events and tournaments

Requirements

• Minimum USSF B License (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of coaching experience at the elite youth, collegiate, or professional level
• Strong understanding of player development within an academy structure
• Experience managing high-performance environments
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Familiarity with MLS NEXT rules and competition structures
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in talent identification and recruitment
• Proficiency in video analysis and performance tracking tools
