About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for all aspects of the NCAA Division I women’s cross country and track & field program
- Oversee coaching, recruiting, student-athlete development, and program administration
- Ensure strict compliance with NCAA and conference rules and legislation
- Promote excellence in academic achievement, competitive success, and student-athlete well-being
- Enhance the visibility and reputation of the program through community engagement
- Manage projects, meet deadlines, and handle emergencies or difficult situations effectively
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or state recognized equivalent
- Three (3) years of coaching experience in cross country and/or track & field at the high school, collegiate, club, or equivalent level
- Valid driver’s license and ability to establish driver eligibility under university policy
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sports management or a related field
- Head coaching experience at the collegiate level in cross country and/or track & field
- Proven experience in relationship-building with former student-athletes and program stakeholders
- Previous recruiting experience within the Northeast Ohio region
