Head Coach, Cross Country and Track & Field

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all aspects of the NCAA Division I women’s cross country and track & field program
• Oversee coaching, recruiting, student-athlete development, and program administration
• Ensure strict compliance with NCAA and conference rules and legislation
• Promote excellence in academic achievement, competitive success, and student-athlete well-being
• Enhance the visibility and reputation of the program through community engagement
• Manage projects, meet deadlines, and handle emergencies or difficult situations effectively

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or state recognized equivalent
• Three (3) years of coaching experience in cross country and/or track & field at the high school, collegiate, club, or equivalent level
• Valid driver’s license and ability to establish driver eligibility under university policy

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sports management or a related field
• Head coaching experience at the collegiate level in cross country and/or track & field
• Proven experience in relationship-building with former student-athletes and program stakeholders
• Previous recruiting experience within the Northeast Ohio region
