Head Coach, Competitive Dance

Responsibilities

• Recruit quality academic students who are also competitive student-athletes
• Coach and teach advanced technical skills in pom, jazz, and hip hop
• Choreograph performances and provide support for competitive routines
• Manage all aspects of the program, including scheduling practices, competitions, and facilities
• Oversee the program budget, including travel, lodging, and meal requirements for away contests
• Purchase, maintain, and collect all team uniforms and equipment
• Monitor and support student-athletes in their academic pursuits and campus living
• Develop and implement camps, clinics, and alumni engagement initiatives
• Supervise staff, volunteers, and student assistants

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Successful collegiate-level coaching experience
• Technical knowledge of pom, jazz, and hip hop
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Completion of the USA Gymnastics safety course
• AED/CPR/First Aid Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Three to five years of collegiate coaching experience
