About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide general oversight, management, and leadership for all aspects of the Baseball program.
- Supervise and lead staff, including recruiting, hiring, and conducting annual performance reviews.
- Manage the team budget, including strategizing, forecasting, and approving expenses.
- Coordinate all aspects of coaching, including planning and attending practice sessions and implementing team strategies.
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and provide guidance on academic and social matters.
- Lead recruiting efforts by developing a network of contacts and visiting prospective student-athletes and their families.
- Execute public relations strategies to increase program interest, including fundraising, alumni engagement, and media relations.
- Ensure strict compliance with all NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Three (3) years of experience coaching sport at the college or university level (professional playing experience may be included).
- Ability to obtain CPR certification by the end of the introductory period.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet University fleet rules.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that meets recruiting, game, and event needs, including extensive national and international travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate Degree.
- Seven (7) years of college or university coaching experience.
- Head Coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, contact, and enroll talented student-athletes.
- Strong knowledge of NCAA and conference regulations.
- Experience advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
