High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree, 2-3 years men's volleyball coaching experience, Experience with higher education or adolescent populations, Valid US driver's license, First Aid and CPR certification
About the role
Responsibilities
- Recruit, select, and manage all aspects of the Men's Club Volleyball team in conjunction with team captains and the executive board
- Schedule and attend all practices (Monday/Wednesday nights) and matches, including weekend tournaments
- Create, instruct, and implement in-game strategies and technical skill development
- Ensure all team members maintain good academic standing and complete required athletic paperwork
- Maintain safety standards and compliance with National Collegiate Volleyball Federation and NECVL Governance Rules
- Support team recruitment and publicity efforts to expand membership on campus
- Act as a mentor to student-athletes regarding team morale and the balance between athletics and academics
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2-3 years of experience coaching or instructing men’s volleyball at a university club or comparable level
- Experience working with higher education undergraduate populations or adolescent/young adult individuals
- Valid, unrestricted United States driver’s license with an insurable driving history
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
