Responsibilities
- Prepare, design, and execute weekly from-scratch menus
- Conduct menu meetings with clients
- Create high-quality meals with excellent presentation and flavor
- Oversee and train kitchen staff and manage schedules
- Order supplies and manage inventory within budget
- Enforce sanitation and food safety standards
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room
- Communicate regularly with management via calls, emails, and texts
Requirements
- Proficiency in various cooking methods, cuisines, and equipment
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Professional attitude when dealing with customers
- Ability to handle emergency situations with accuracy and speed
- Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours) and lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in professional, high-volume food production or catering
- Culinary degree
- Valid manager-level sanitation certification
