About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, design, and execute weekly from-scratch menus
  • Conduct menu meetings with clients
  • Oversee and train kitchen staff and manage schedules
  • Order supplies and manage inventory within budget
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining room
  • Enforce food safety standards and sanitation regulations
  • Communicate regularly with management via calls, emails, and texts

Requirements

  • Proficiency in various cooking methods, cuisines, and equipment
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Professional attitude when dealing with customers
  • Ability to handle emergency situations with accuracy and speed
  • Physical ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years in professional, high-volume food production or catering
  • Culinary degree
  • Valid manager-level sanitation certification
