About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, design, and execute fresh from-scratch weekly menus
  • Conduct menu meetings with clients and management
  • Oversee and train kitchen staff, including scheduling and performance assessment
  • Manage food preparation, presentation, and flavor quality
  • Order supplies and manage inventory within budgetary requirements
  • Enforce sanitation and food safety standards per local regulations
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room
  • Assist in planning and executing special events

Requirements

  • Proficiency in various cooking methods, cuisines, and equipment
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Ability to handle challenging customers professionally
  • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years in professional, high-volume food production or catering
  • Culinary degree
  • Valid manager-level sanitation certification
