About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, design, and execute weekly from-scratch menus
- Conduct menu meetings with clients
- Create high-quality meals with excellent presentation and flavor
- Oversee and train kitchen staff and manage schedules
- Order supplies in accordance with budgetary requirements
- Enforce sanitation and food safety standards
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room
- Assist in planning and executing special events
Requirements
- Proficiency in various cooking methods, cuisines, and equipment
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to handle challenging customers professionally
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in professional, high-volume food production or catering
- Culinary degree
- Valid manager level sanitation certification
