About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, design, and execute weekly from-scratch menus
- Conduct menu meetings with clients and management
- Oversee and train kitchen staff, including scheduling and performance assessment
- Manage food preparation, presentation, and quality control
- Order supplies and manage inventory within budgetary requirements
- Enforce sanitation and food safety standards per local regulations
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area
- Assist in planning and executing special events
Requirements
- Proficiency in various cooking methods, cuisines, and equipment
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Professionalism when dealing with customers
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations
- Physical ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in professional, high-volume food production or catering
- Culinary degree
- Valid manager-level sanitation certification
