Head Chef

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations within a large-scale mining village environment
• Lead a diverse kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences across Breakfast, Crib, and Dinner services
• Manage budgets, food costs, labour, and inventory controls
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational performance
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety legislation

Requirements

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
• Proven experience as a Head Chef in high-volume catering (mining, remote camp, defence, or healthcare)
• Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety auditing, and quality assurance systems
• Demonstrated financial management skills including budgeting and stock control
• Unrestricted Australian working rights
• Current National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
• Current Driver's Licence
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Functional Assessment, and Drug & Alcohol Screen

• Competitive annual salary of $110,000 - $120,000 plus superannuation
• FIFO roster: 2 weeks on, 1 week off (flying from Perth to Karratha)
