Head Cheer Coach

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of all aspects of the collegiate cheer program, including recruiting, staff supervision, and student-athlete development.
• Plan and implement daily practices focusing on conditioning, stunting, tumbling, and team tactics.
• Manage program administration, including budget development, reconciliation, and procurement of equipment and uniforms.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes through high school/junior college visits and international recruiting services.
• Coordinate team travel, competition strategies, and summer camps/clinics.
• Ensure full compliance with University, Mountain East Conference (MEC), and NCAA II regulations.
• Provide academic, personal, and professional mentoring to student-athletes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Proven experience in collegiate cheer oversight and management.
• Demonstrated experience in student-athlete recruitment.
• Ability to manage and reconcile program budgets.
• Strong leadership skills to supervise assistant coaches, volunteers, and student workers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
