Requirements
Ordained Episcopal priest, 5+ years experience in school or parish, Experience leading worship for youth, Teaching experience, Valid Driver's License, Counseling and advising skills
About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the spiritual life of the school and direct the chapel program for an adolescent congregation
- Preside at chapel services twice weekly, including Wednesday evening chapel and Sunday worship
- Provide pastoral care to students, faculty, and staff
- Lead and mentor the vestry and student chapel guilds
- Set the Sunday School curriculum for faculty and staff children
- Teach up to two courses in Religious Studies or another academic department
- Oversee the chapel budget and maintain the physical worship space and equipment
- Collaborate with the student affairs and inclusion and belonging teams
- Model the school's values through active presence in residential life, including meals and major school weekends
Requirements
- Priest ordained in the Episcopal Church
- At least five years of experience in a school, parish, or comparable setting
- Experience leading worship specifically for young people
- Proven teaching experience
- Strong counseling and advising skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with strict professionalism
- Possession of a valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with and openness to diverse religious populations
- Experience in a residential boarding school environment
