Head - Bid Costing Management

Responsibilities

• Lead the bid costing team across the full tender lifecycle, ensuring financial inputs are validated and aligned with business strategy.
• Interpret and integrate RFP conditions regarding costing, financial terms, taxes, and commercial clauses into bid documentation.
• Consolidate cost estimates from multidisciplinary work packages including engineering, logistics, and sourcing.
• Assess financial impacts of technical solutions and identify cost optimization opportunities and risk exposures.
• Translate solution-level cost inputs into detailed price schedules, unit rate sheets, and milestone payment breakdowns.
• Simulate cash-flow and cost curves to evaluate project profitability, financing costs, and working capital efficiency.
• Collaborate with Legal, Taxation, and Finance teams to validate contractual payment terms and financial guarantees.
• Ensure bid compliance with global cost governance frameworks and group costing tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, Finance, or Business (advanced qualifications like MBA or CA preferred).
• Proven experience in bid costing, commercial tendering, or cost management for large-scale project-based businesses.
• Knowledge of signalling systems, rail infrastructure, or industrial automation sectors.
• Proficiency in cost engineering, tender pricing, risk management, and financial simulators.
• Strong analytical mindset with expertise in scenario analysis and margin risk control.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills to engage with leadership and bid governance boards.
• Familiarity with regional tax legislations, import/export duties, and public procurement frameworks.
