About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and develop the bar team to ensure high-quality service
- Oversee daily bar operations and ensure efficient service delivery
- Develop and curate creative cocktail menus and beverage programmes
- Manage bar inventory, stock levels, and supplier coordination
- Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in the bar area
- Drive revenue through upselling premium products and themed promotions
- Manage daily cash handling, payments, and financial reporting
- Plan and coordinate special bar events and promotions
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory role within bar operations
- Experience in high-end bar, restaurant, or luxury hospitality environments
- Extensive knowledge of mixology, spirits, wines, and cocktail preparation
- Grade 12 minimum
- Qualification in hospitality management or Business Administration
- Valid authorization to work in South Africa
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional bartending or mixology certifications
- Beverage industry certifications
