About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct all aspects of a competitive Men's Basketball Program within the framework of the PSAC and NCAA.
- Plan and manage all competitions and practices, including in-season and out-of-season player development.
- Recruit qualified student-athletes and promote their academic success.
- Advise student-athletes on University athletic policies and NCAA/PSAC requirements.
- Implement the Athletic Drug Education, Screening, and Counseling Program.
- Manage the program budget and organize travel arrangements.
- Participate in fundraising events, public relations activities, and alumni engagement.
- Evaluate assistant coaches and submit monthly work schedules to the Director of Athletics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of college coaching experience.
- Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to successfully demonstrate different aspects of basketball techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of PSAC rules.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
