About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage all functions of the Law Library Access and Technical Services Department
- Participate in budget development, oversee invoicing, and manage fund accounting
- Provide oversight for bibliographic services, collection maintenance, and quality control
- Manage the Special Collections room and digital content collections
- Supervise assigned staff and prepare departmental activity reports
- Interact professionally with internal and external customers to support library needs
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS) from an ALA accredited school
- Five years of professional experience
- Solid knowledge of technical services or collection management in an academic, research, law, or special library setting
- Experience with library automation systems
- Experience and training in OCLC copy and original cataloging
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a Law Library technical services department
- Experience managing the receipt, cataloging, and maintenance of legal materials
- Proficiency with acquisitions, serials, and cataloging functions within Library Automation Systems
- Three years of supervisory experience
