HCM Configurator - Release

Responsibilities

• Own the HCM release strategy and operating rhythm, defining cadence, bundling, and sequencing across platforms and geographies
• Establish and maintain release guardrails, including blackout periods, deployment windows, and risk thresholds
• Define and enforce release readiness criteria covering quality, security, compliance, and operational sign-off
• Act as the final release decision point for go/no-go decisions and escalate material risks
• Manage end-to-end release calendars to align BAU, legislative, and transformational changes
• Identify and manage cross-team and cross-vendor dependencies to prevent conflicting releases
• Sequence releases to minimize blast radius, specifically regarding payroll and regulatory processes
• Coordinate environment readiness, production deployment, cutover activities, and hypercare execution
• Ensure releases comply with audit, SOX, and regulatory expectations with traceable evidence
• Drive continuous improvement in release predictability, stability, and transparency

Requirements

• 12+ years of hands-on experience owning enterprise HCM release management in SaaS environments (e.g., Workday)
• Strong understanding of HR processes, payroll dependencies, statutory change, and downstream impacts
• Proven experience coordinating releases across multiple teams, geographies, and vendors
• Solid grounding in change, release, and deployment control practices
• Experience operating in risk-aware or regulated environments
