About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform soil remediation tasks and handle hazardous materials
- Operate and maintain equipment, including daily inspections
- Participate in tailgate meetings and follow safety protocols
- Maintain daily logs and assist in material handling
- Control dust, direct traffic, and ensure site safety
- Spot operators, identify utilities, and use hand-held equipment
- Maintain site cleanliness and secure excavation areas
- Install and maintain SWPPP measures
- Perform excavation, backfill, compaction, and trench work
Requirements
- 40-Hr HAZWOPER Certification or current 8-Hr Refresher
- Lead Certification
- Minimum of 1 year in soil remediation or a related field
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. without aid
- Physical stamina for walking, standing, climbing, and kneeling for long periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction industry experience
