About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise hazardous material management functions, including identification, collection, transportation, and disposal.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA regulations, US requirements, KBR policies, and Republic of the Philippines hazardous material laws.
- Manage regulatory and legislative requirements regarding hazardous material handling procedures.
- Provide manager-level reporting on storage, distribution, disposal, and regulatory considerations.
- Deliver training and support for the safe handling, processing, packaging, and storage of various hazardous materials and wastes.
- Formulate administrative and operational policies and procedures.
- Enforce worker compliance with established safety regulations and storage methods.
- Maintain MCPP-PHIL ISO policies and ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
- AA degree in safety, environmental engineering, health education, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Six years of directly related experience in Hazardous Materials management, including classification, labeling, and segregation.
- Completion of a Hazardous Materials/Waste Course in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910-120 or equivalent.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Valid U.S. Stateside Driver’s License and U.S. Passport.
- Ability to pass an FBI Background investigation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Philippines Work Permit.
Preferred Qualifications
- USMC MOS 8012/8056.
- Understanding of Marine Corps policies, regulations, and orders.
- Working knowledge of military storage and general maintenance procedures for tactical equipment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
