Hazmat Qualified Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate extended reach forklifts and skid steers in a safe and efficient manner
• Handle hazardous materials with strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure operational safety
• Coordinate with the project team to achieve project goals and timelines
• Conduct site assessments and participate in safety meetings
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Respond to emergencies and hazardous material spills following established procedures

Requirements

• 40 hours of HAZWOPER training completed with an 8-hour refresher
• Prior experience operating extended reach forklifts and skid steers
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various environmental conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications related to hazardous material handling
• Previous experience in a similar role within a project-based environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
